Nora Arrieta / Keiyona Stumpf
Solo exhibition / 20.9–22.11 2025
Galleria Antonella Villanova
On September 20, Galleria Antonella Villanova (Via Maggio 19R, Florence) inaugurates Nora Arrieta/ Keyona Stumpf, an exhibition that showcases two approaches to the use of ceramics in sculpture, highlighting their differences and affinities.
Arrieta and Stumpf engage with the complexities of our world, reflecting on the juxtaposition between technological progress and the need to protect the environment, understood as a shared space where all living beings must find ways to coexist. While both artists explore the everyday, Nora Arrieta depicts daily life as a swirling vortex of colors and distorted forms, enhanced by a compulsive use of familiar iconographic references. Keiyona Stumpf, on the other hand, draws from the vast, fluid gamma of natural and marine forms, from tentacles to giant sea anemones that seem to reach out toward the viewer in a dynamic of attraction and repulsion.
